When girls take pictures of themselves and caption it “no makeupp!!1! luv me” even though you can clearly see that they are wearing makeup, I can’t help but to lay here and wonder why people go to such great lengths to cover their flaws and claim that their “natural” self wakes up with eyeliner, mascara, foundation, and perfect hair. I wear makeup on occasion to hide my flaws, but today I figured: what’s the point?

Just pretend…
to be normal, and eventually they’ll fall for it. No more questioning and odd looks, you’ll blend in and make people laugh and smile. Go back to when you genuinely cared about everyone and wanted to make people’s days— before you realized that everyone’s full of it and deserves all the cards they’ve been dealt. Put on that fake smile, make peace with the worst of them, and share “your thoughts” with them. Just pretend and you’ll blend right in.
